If you've spent any amount of time in the wastleand I'm sure you've at least heard rumors of those foul creatures known as Deathclaws. If by some miracle you've encountered one and are still alive kudos to you! Deathclaws are the king of the wastes, their strength and skill in combat is uncontested. However, if you can manage to bag one the rewards will be great! Your friends at Vault-Tec have done their research and now we present to you 3 sure fire ways to kill a Dethclaw.
1. Take out their legs!
One of the Deathclaw's most valuable assets are their legs. They are quick and fierce in their attacks. If you can simply cripple their legs then they won't be able to move as fast. A simple way to do this is to use V.A.T.S. to target their legs directly.
2. Attack from a distance.
As their name would suggest Deathclaw's attack with the colossal claws attached to their hands. If you attack them from a distance they have absolutely no chance of damaging you. However, gunshots make noise and Deathclaws travel in packs. Always watch your flank!
3. Explosives!
Explosives are never a bad idea. Grenades, mines, and cherry bombs can all be very effective when facing down a Deathclaw. They produce high amounts of damage and can also cripple the Deathclaws trying to take your life.
Of course these aren't the only ways to take down a Deathclaw. They are, however, the most effective in Vault-Tec's opinion. Do you have any other methods Wastelanders? Let us know in the comments!
